A dog waste pickup visit should make your day easier. A few clear arrangements beforehand help the crew find the right entrance and help everyone at home know what to expect. You can keep the plan simple: decide where the dogs will be, explain how to reach the yard, and flag anything that has changed.
Use this checklist before the first visit, then revisit it whenever your gate, household routine or yard setup changes.
1. Make the dog plan before you leave
All dogs must be indoors or securely separated from the work area before the crew arrives and throughout the cleanup. That includes friendly dogs. If you won’t be home, make those arrangements in advance.
Think through the ordinary ways a dog gets into the yard. Is there a dog door? Will someone come home and let the dogs outside? Is a pet sitter stopping by? Let everyone involved know the plan so a normal part of your routine does not undo the arrangements you made for the visit.
2. Describe the entrance clearly
Tell us which gate to use and arrange access. Where there is a gate, we latch it after the cleanup and send a photo of the latch. That photo confirms the gate check after service; dogs still need to stay out of the work area during the visit.
A short description is more helpful than “the side gate” when a house has two. For example, say which side of the house to approach from the street and whether a second gate leads to another part of the yard. If anything about access has changed since the last visit, send an update before service day.
3. Point out the places your dogs use
Your view from the kitchen window may miss the strip behind the shed or a separate dog run. Make a quick list of the areas you want discussed when arranging service. Mention any part of the property that is difficult to reach rather than assuming the crew can get through it.
Check the entrance for a bicycle, hose or other everyday item across the path. Move what you can comfortably manage and tell us about anything that needs a separate conversation.
4. Separate scooping from other work
If you also want an old kennel, damaged patio chair or other junk removed, mention it when you contact us. Junk removal is separate work to confirm and quote; do not assume it is included in pet waste pickup.
Optional treatments also deserve their own questions. Ask what you have selected, what it costs, and which access or re-entry instructions apply. Avoid guessing when dogs can return after a treatment.
5. Keep the service-day message easy to find
Dump Ninja texts when we’re on the way. Keep your access arrangements and any changed instructions in that conversation so you can check them easily. If another adult manages the dogs or the gate, make sure they have the same information.
Your first cleanup is charged at the regular service price, with no extra initial-cleanup fee. It is a paid visit. When arranging service, tell us your address, dog count and preferred schedule so we can confirm the details for your yard.
