Tell us the appliance works before the visit
Replacing an appliance does not always mean the old one has stopped working. When you contact us, tell us what it is, whether it runs and anything you know about its condition. Photos help us understand both the appliance and the route out of the property.
For a washer, dryer or refrigerator, explain where it is located and mention stairs or restricted access. We assess the pickup and confirm the scope before work begins. Do not assume an appliance qualifies for reuse simply because it looks complete; describe any known issue so we can make a practical assessment.
The homeowner pays for pickup, not a giveaway recipient
These are two separate parts of the process. We provide a paid removal service to the homeowner. When we pick up a working appliance, the customer does not pay the recycling fee associated with recycling it. The carrying and pickup are still a paid service, with the price agreed on site.
A suitable working appliance can then be given to someone in the community for free. That gives it another useful life while helping clear the original customer’s space. It does not mean all appliance removal is free or that every broken appliance can be used again.
Why reuse comes first
Our mission is to make people’s lives better by giving them back their space and time. Generosity is part of how we do it. When an appliance still has useful life, putting it back to work can help another household and keep that item out of the disposal stream for longer.
Excellence means looking at the actual condition, explaining the pickup clearly and choosing a suitable next step. Reuse is a possibility we assess, not a promise about every appliance. If yours does not work, tell us so we can discuss the appropriate removal and disposal process.
How the community giveaways work
Giveaways happen through our social media. Follow Dump Ninja on a platform and comment on the giveaway post you are interested in. Any comment on that giveaway post enters you into the drawing. Read the individual post for the item and its details.
The community giveaway page connects you with the current community information and our social channels. The website is not a separate entry form, and contacting us for a removal estimate does not enter you in a drawing.
What to send when requesting pickup
- The appliance type and whether it works.
- Known problems or missing parts.
- Photos of the appliance and the space around it.
- The pickup address and any stairs or access restrictions.
- Your preferred timing, which we confirm when arranging the visit.
We give you a clear on-site price before work begins. For the agreed job, we do not raise that price if we underestimated the truck space. If the load takes less room than expected, we lower the price accordingly.
Read about appliance removal, our reuse-first approach or send us a pickup request. A clear space for one customer and a useful appliance for another is exactly the kind of outcome we want to make possible.
